George Gagnidze is an Israeli/Canadian composer based in Ontario, Canada. Mr Gagnidze has written hundreds (over 800) compositions to this day for solo, chamber, orchestral, opera, choir, electronic and film mediums. Mr Gagnidze continually explores new genres and mediums and keeps evolving and developing new musical vocabulary and styles. Building on traditional conventions and looking into the future, Gagnidze explores artistic and scientific ideas and expresses them in sound.
Mr Gagnidze does not believe in inspiration, but in hard work. Influenced by his father, the composer Merab Gagnidze, he continues to compose daily, in order to stay in shape and be ready for whatever comes next and goes through him onto the canvas.
Mr Gagnidze believes that being a composer is an important responsibility towards humanity, as the culture and ideas of our time must be put down on paper and be available for future generations as part of history.
